If you’re unresponsive, the emergency SOS system within the 322GW dash cam will go through an anti-false positive master process. If this process is completed, Beacon mode will occur. If you fail to answer your phone, an emergency alert will be sent.
 
Knowing that this process is in place not only gives you additional peace of mind when driving on remote or quiet roads, but it also means the 322GW dash cam can provide an exact location and personal details if necessary.

What is the 322GW Master Process?

The 322GW operates a master process to determine whether you need emergency help. If this anti-false positive completes, your 322GW will enter a mode in which you will be contacted. If you fail to answer or cannot move your phone, this is when an emergency alert is sent.
 
MyNextbase Emergency SOS will not alert the emergency services of any low-speed accidents, only situations where you may be rendered unable to contact the emergency services yourself.
 
This emergency response is sent to an integrator and emergency services. This alert will include your exact GPS location, as well as medical history, blood type, and allergies, so you can get the help you need, no matter where you are.

The 332GW dash cam wifi is set up directly between the dash cam and your phone or tablet. This means there’s no need to use mobile data or a wifi hotspot.

Intelligent parking mode on your 322GW dash cam records any bump or movement that occurs when your car is parked. With a parking camera, you will know where and when your car was bumped. This feature acts as an extra layer of security to give you greater peace of mind.
 
You can choose to turn this sensor on or off. When you park, the 322GW will automatically switch into Parking Mode. From here, everything will be shut down except the G Force sensor. The sensitivity of the sensor then increases.

The 322GW dash cam records on a loop. This means even when your dash cam reaches memory capacity, it will continue to record. To do this, older files must be overwritten. The dash cam features a file protect button which means in the event of an incident, you can prevent the footage you need from being lost — these will stay locked onto your memory card. Segments are sorted into recordings of three minutes, making them easier to manage.

A series 2 dash cam, the 322GW can record one minute per file. And because this dash cam boasts 1080 HD, you can benefit from up to 4 hours of footage before the dash cam rolls over. The volume of the data depends on the SD card you choose. Choose from 32GB for 2 hours of footage, 64GB for 4 hours of footage, or 128GB for up to 8 hours of footage.

The 322GW also boasts dual file recording, which means your dash cam will record both a high and low-resolution file, so you can view footage you need as soon as you need it, whilst the high-resolution file records the sharper details should you need them.

Access files on your phone

Nextbase 322GW dash cam allows you to access files directly on your phone. You can edit and share the footage with your insurer with the MyNextbase connect app, whether you have an iPhone or an Android. The 322GW dash cam also has auto sync, which means your dash cam is automatically connected to your phone — which also supports the SOS service.
 
Keep in mind that the minimum mobile phone requirements for this feature are 6+ Android, 13+ iOS and 4.2 Bluetooth.

G-Sensor

What is a G-Sensor?

The Nextbase 322GW dash cam features a G-Sensor, which is an invaluable tool if you find yourself involved in a collision. The G-Sensor is an accelerometer that registers values based on the amount of force applied during an impact.
 
A value will be pre-set, and if you’re involved in a collision that registers at this value or higher, the footage will automatically be protected and moved into a folder that cannot be overwritten. You’ll then be able to send this to the police or your insurance company.
