322GW Emergency SOS when you need it most

Unfortunately, accidents happen. But you can drive safely with the peace of mind that your dash cam will alert the emergency services if the worst happens. If you’re unresponsive, the emergency SOS system within the 322GW dash cam will go through an anti-false positive master process. If this process is completed, Beacon mode will occur. If you fail to answer your phone, an emergency alert will be sent.

Knowing that this process is in place not only gives you additional peace of mind when driving on remote or quiet roads, but it also means the 322GW dash cam can provide an exact location and personal details if necessary.

What is the 322GW Master Process?

The 322GW operates a master process to determine whether you need emergency help. If this anti-false positive completes, your 322GW will enter a mode in which you will be contacted. If you fail to answer or cannot move your phone, this is when an emergency alert is sent.

MyNextbase Emergency SOS will not alert the emergency services of any low-speed accidents, only situations where you may be rendered unable to contact the emergency services yourself.

This emergency response is sent to an integrator and emergency services. This alert will include your exact GPS location, as well as medical history, blood type, and allergies, so you can get the help you need, no matter where you are.

There are a few benefits that come with adding a touchscreen to the 322GW dash cam. User experience is enhanced with a more compact design with no need for additional buttons. The 322GW is incredibly easy to use thanks to the options taking up either ½ or ¼ of the screen so that you can select easily.

Another advanced feature you can take advantage of is on-Dash cam editing. You can edit any clip or video you need on the dashcam before sharing. This makes it easy to share the exact moment an incident took place, without having to download or edit the footage yourself.

WiFi

Stay connected with the 322GW

With the 322GW model, you can stay connected wherever you go with QuickLink Wifi. Download and share video files directly to your phone or tablet. Nextbase 322GW makes it easy for you to share video clips with your insurance provider after an incident — you’ll no longer have to wait for access to your laptop or computer. You can even edit the footage before sending it.

The 332GW dash cam wifi is set up directly between the dash cam and your phone or tablet. This means there’s no need to use mobile data or a wifi hotspot.

Keep in mind that wifi can only be used on IOS (10.3 or later) and Android (5.1 and up) devices. You can download MyNextbase Connect app can be downloaded for free via Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Move in the right direction with GPS tracking

GPS is a Dash Cam models recording at a higher resolution (1440p HD and 4K) record both high res and low res file with our dash cams with wifi. The high res files are used for playback. Low res files allow for efficient streaming.

322GW dash cam for first-time drivers

The 322GW dash cam is also useful for young drivers or those who have recently passed their driving test. Knowing that speed and location are being tracked and recorded encourages better driving. This dash cam could also be helpful for driving instructors looking to review data, for example, speed, to learner drivers after a lesson.

Parking Mode

Parking peace of mind with the 322GW

Intelligent parking mode on your 322GW dash cam records any bump or movement that occurs when your car is parked. With a parking camera, you will know where and when your car was bumped. This feature acts as an extra layer of security to give you greater peace of mind.

You can choose to turn this sensor on or off. When you park, the 322GW will automatically switch into Parking Mode. From here, everything will be shut down except the G Force sensor. The sensitivity of the sensor then increases.

G Force Assistance

When the camera is in Parking Mode, the camera will automatically set the G sensor to high to pick up physical impacts to the vehicle.

If your car is hit, the camera will power on and record a 30-second protected file. It will remain powered on for 5 minutes and if no further impact is detected the camera will shut down.

Enhanced Night Vision

It can be more difficult to pick up the finer details if you’re involved in an incident at night. But with the Nextbase 322GW dash cam, you don’t have to worry. The 322GW can enhance the finer details even in low-light conditions. The enhanced night vision features can pick up number plates and road signs, which can be useful if you need to send footage to the police. Benefit from clear images of your surroundings even at night.

At entry level, dash cams typically offer a wide angle of 120 degrees. The 322GW dash cam is a step up. With a 140-degree wide viewing angle, you can get a clear view of what’s going on around you. Because of this wider angle, the 322GW can capture details like pavements, and signage. The 322GW dash cam is the sweet spot between low-resolution images and distortion, for clarity when needed.

Loop Recording

Record continuously with the 322GW

The 322GW dash cam records on a loop. This means even when your dash cam reaches memory capacity, it will continue to record. To do this, older files must be overwritten. The dash cam features a file protect button which means in the event of an incident, you can prevent the footage you need from being lost — these will stay locked onto your memory card. Segments are sorted into recordings of three minutes, making them easier to manage.

322GW recording time

A series 2 dash cam, the 322GW can record one minute per file. And because this dash cam boasts 1080 HD, you can benefit from up to 4 hours of footage before the dash cam rolls over. The volume of the data depends on the SD card you choose. Choose from 32GB for 2 hours of footage, 64GB for 4 hours of footage, or 128GB for up to 8 hours of footage.

The Magnetic power of the 322GW

The 322GW dash cam comes with a magnetic power mount so you can install and secure your dash cam with just one hand. The mount offers a high strength neodymium magnets on the mouth and Dash Cam click themselves together so you’re ready to drive safely.

Installation is made simple as the power cables for the 322GW mount are installed directly into the mount, allowing the dash cam to be completely wireless, so you can simply click your mount into place and drive.

Wide Dynamic Range

Wide dynamic range, also referred to as WDR, is a feature that processes images to ensure clear dash cam recordings, no matter if you’re driving in bright sunlight, or through the night. Your Nextbase dash cam combines multiple images of different brightnesses to create a high-quality image.

This feature is designed to assist the 322GW in recording in more detail in contrasting light areas. WDR helps the dash cam to distinguish important shapes and features. No matter the lighting, you can benefit from high-resolution recordings when you need them most.

Access My Nextbase suite with the 322GW dash cam

This suite has been created to complement all of the footage the 322GW dash cam records. In the form of software, app, and cloud storage, you can access the dash cam footage so you can use it as you please. Whether you’re viewing, editing, sharing, or even storing files on the cloud.

To get the most from the footage your 322GW dash cam records, use the My Nextbase suite to find an important section of footage without needing to worry about using external editing software. Take advantage of the ability to screenshot, zoom in and out of videos, or add multiple videos to a playlist for simplicity. Use your MyNextbase Connect App alongside this to access footage on your phone or tablet.

MyNextbase Player computer software

In the past, a touch screen panel has been something reserved for top of the range models such as the 622GW. HPlay, edit and share your Dash Cam footage on PC or Mac using the newly developed playback software, MyNextbase Player.

The software has been developed in-house to provide a fully enhanced playback experience, with the inclusion of an updated Google Maps feature, speed information and G-Sensor readings to display all important information that can be passed on to an insurance provider.

MyNextbase Player includes the functionality to play footage from your Dash Cam or Rear View Camera Module. Sharing footage has never been easier, as you can send important footage at the click of a button to your insurance provider, as well as to social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The software suite includes full editing capabilities, allowing you to find that important section of footage without the need to download separate editing software. Additional features include the ability to screenshot a frame, zoom in and out of videos to provide clearer detail on number plates or road signs, and the option to add multiple videos to a playlist

Compatible with the following Nextbase models: 222, 322GW, 422GW, 522GW and 622GW, including Rear Cam Modules. 122 videos will play in any standard media player.

The Nextbase 322GW model uses Bluetooth 4.2 low-energy technology and wifi connectivity, allowing you to send recordings to your device quickly and easily if you’re involved in an incident.

The 322GW also boasts dual file recording, which means your dash cam will record both a high and low-resolution file, so you can view footage you need as soon as you need it, whilst the high-resolution file records the sharper details should you need them.

Access files on your phone

Nextbase 322GW dash cam allows you to access files directly on your phone. You can edit and share the footage with your insurer with the MyNextbase connect app, whether you have an iPhone or an Android. The 322GW dash cam also has auto sync, which means your dash cam is automatically connected to your phone — which also supports the SOS service.

Keep in mind that the minimum mobile phone requirements for this feature are 6+ Android, 13+ iOS and 4.2 Bluetooth.

G-Sensor

What is a G-Sensor?

The Nextbase 322GW dash cam features a G-Sensor, which is an invaluable tool if you find yourself involved in a collision. The G-Sensor is an accelerometer that registers values based on the amount of force applied during an impact.

A value will be pre-set, and if you’re involved in a collision that registers at this value or higher, the footage will automatically be protected and moved into a folder that cannot be overwritten. You’ll then be able to send this to the police or your insurance company.

Why choose a 322GW dash cam with G-Sensor?

There are a range of benefits that come with choosing a 322GW dash cam with a G-sensor, one of the main benefits being that if you were involved in an incident, the file is automatically protected, ensuring the image isn’t overwritten. This will be shown on the dash cam with a padlock appearing on the screen for your peace of mind.

Another benefit of the G-Sensor is that it can be triggered by other factors, including potholes, heavy acceleration and braking, or speed bumps. Settings can be adjusted to suit the driving conditions and environment if you find too many files are being automatically protected by the G-Sensor. You can adjust this G-Sensor to high, medium, low, and off, with the high setting being the most sensitive.

GPS records accurate speed and location data for your Dash Cam while you're driving. This will keep track of your vehicle’s physical location, to show the route travelled, and the speed you are going. This can be vital in pinpointing exactly where an incident has happened, which can be crucial in an insurance claim.

Do I need GPS on my Dash Cam?
